Revelation Chapter 4 verses 2 thru 11
Taught by Internationally Acclaimed Author Terry Angel Mason

[What Will Occur After the Rapture]
(Part 3)

REVELATION CHAPTER 4 Verses: 2 through 11
Introduction: Chapters 4 and 5 pictures that which takes place in Heaven, while chapters 6 through 18 pictures that which occurs on Earth, the Tribulation. Let's move on to Verse 2: And immediately I was in the spirit: and, behold, a throne was set in heaven, and one sat on the throne. Again, as in chapter 1, verse 10, the Holy Spirit takes complete control of John in order to give him the most glorious vision in all time or eternity, the Lord Jesus Christ, upon His throne. Most of us have not personally met many kings, queens or presidents, but such introductions will become absolutely meaningless when we see Jesus, in His Majestic splendor! Praise God, that day will soon be here! We're going home imminently! Amen and Amen!

Verse 3: And he that sat was to look upon like a jasper and a sardine stone: and there was a rainbow round about the throne, in sight like unto an emerald.

Here we see a comparison of Christ with two precious stones, the jasper and sardine. The jasper is clear as crystal, chapter 21, verse 11, and is like unto the light of the Holy Jerusalem which comes from the glory of God (Chapter 21, verse 23). Imagine, glory is that which first strikes our eyes as we see the Lord, Jesus Christ. The sardine is red, the color of fire. This undoubtedly speaks of the righteous wrath of God and the judgment that is to fall in chapters 6 through 18. The rainbow, resembling an emerald proves that the impending judgment will not come through a flood because of God's promise to Noah in Genesis 9:13, but that it will be a holocaust of fire.

After describing the throne and its occupant, John indicates the presence of another group situated in the very presence of the Lord, Verse 4: And round about the throne were four and twenty seats: and upon the seats I saw four and twenty elders sitting, clothed in white raiment; and they had on their heads crowns of gold.

These are not angels, for elders always depict members of the human race. What members? The Redeemed! They are also in resurrection bodies as is the Lord, for they sit down! An immaterial spirit cannot sit! For a material body is necessary in order to sit on a material throne. Christ possesses such a new glorified body (Luke 24:39) "And when we see Jesus, we shall be like Him (1 John 3:12)! The elders are also clothed in white raiment. One could not put a coat on a spIrit very readily, for it would continually fall to the floor! The book of Revelation, CANNOT, CANNOT, BE SPIRITUALIZED!!! These are real people! If fact, since the judgment seat of Christ took place immediately after the "Come up Hither" of verse 1, these individuals are already wearing the crowns which they will place at the Master's feet in verse 11.

Who are these 24 elders? Some believe that they picture the 24 groups or orders within the Levitical priesthood. This in turn, represents all true believers in Christ. For through Him, as High Priest, every Christian is a member of the royal priesthood (1 Peter 2:9)! Others believe that the 24 elders represent the 12 tribes of Israel and the 12 apostles for a total of 24. In other words, they say that the elders represent God's people of all ages. This is a good possibility since, Revelation 21 verses, 12 through 14 describe the New Jerusalem and the names of the 12 tribes are inscribed on the gates, while the names of the 12 apostles are found upon the 12 foundations of the City. Regardless of the view one holds, the 4 and 20 elders represent the children of God in the presence of the Lord before the horrible tribulation begins in chapter 6.

A preview of the judgment about to be unleashed upon the entire globe is found in Verse 5: And out of the throne proceeded lightnings and thunderings and voices: and there were seven lamps of fire burning before the throne, which are the seven Spirits of God.

Lightening, thunders, and voices speak of judgment. Rumblings resound throughout the heavens as the saints are informed of what is to occur on earth. The present hour is so late prophetically speaking, that this very scene could happen soon! We may go home momentarily to become the very participants around that throne! "Jesus is coming soon and His appearing is at the door (Matthew 24:33)!

But wait, the seven lamps of fire burning before the throne, which are the seven spirits of God, picture the Holy Spirit in all His perfection, for 7 always denotes flawlessness in the Bible. Note the 7 characteristics of the Holy Spirit as found in Isaiah 11:2: This blessed Holy Spirit is involved in the impending judgment. In fact, each member of Trinity is righteously indignant over the earth’s inundation and wickedness and participates unitedly in the 21 seal, trumpet, and bowl judgments which occur in chapters 6 through 18!

In Verse 6 (And here is hope): And before the throne there was a sea of glass like unto crystal: and in the midst of the throne, and round about the throne, were four beasts full of eyes before and behind.

Although thunderous judgment will soon be released upon earth, perfect peace surrounds God's throne. The glassy sea pictures calmness, a sea untroubled by winds and storms. This is the Church at rest before the storms occur upon earth. Hallelujah, BE READY!

Verse 7: And the first beast was like a lion, and the second beast like a calf, and the third beast had a face as a man, and the fourth beast was like a flying eagle. (8) And the four beasts had each of them six wings about him; and they were full of eyes within: and they rest not day and night, saying, Holy, Holy, Holy, Lord God Almighty, which was, and is, and is to come.

These verses are symbolic! Always take every Word of the Bible literally unless God specifically indicates that it is figurative! In these texts, we find the words "like a" and "as a" expressing symbolism. The term "Beast" is "ZOON" in the Greek, and means "A Living Creature." These are literal created beings! At this point the symbolic and figurative explanation poses no problem! Let me explain: While these beings are definitely literal, the portrait of them bearing 6 wings and numberless eyes is but a figurative expression, depicting their strength and knowledge. Thus, they have eyes before and behind to see all things clearly and accurately.

By comparing the characteristics of these living creatures with Isaiah 6 verses 1 to 3, we see that they are undoubtedly Seraphim, [ANGELS OF GOD] created to praise, exalt, and adulate the Lord. These beings are not monstrosities, instead they are a picture of beauty. Within each species there is always a leader: The lion, among wild beast, the calf, among domestic animals, the eagle, among birds, and man, among all creatures. This is the portrait set before us as Angels in all their magnificence praising the Lord, praising the Lord, saying "Holy, Holy, Holy, Lord God Almighty, which was and is, and is to come!"

This threefold, adulation of holiness is for the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, the three in one (1 John 5:7). The description, "which was, and is, and is to come" is the title of the Father (Chapter 1 verse 4), The Son (verse eight), and also the Holy Spirit who always was, and is, and is to come, for the Trinity works unitedly! The praising of God by these living creatures is contagious and the entire group of God's people, pictured by the 24 elders joins them, Verses 9 to 11: And when those beasts give glory and honour and thanks to him that sat on the throne, who liveth forever and ever, (10) The four and twenty elders fall down before him that sat on the throne, and worship him that liveth forever and ever, and cast their crowns before the throne, saying, (11) Thou art worthy (Jesus), to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.

WHOOOH!!! This is one of the most glorious moments in Heaven! The crowned saints lay their rewards at the feet of Jesus. They lay aside their rewarded glory to add His glory, thereby ascribing all glory to Him! They know that their victories came only because of His power, working within them. Now, the praise session is concluded with the words: "Thou art worthy O LORD, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are, and were created." Imagine, both the angels and the elders praise God for creating them! This proves that there will be no evolutionist in heaven. Instead, they will be join with Darwin in singing songs about their ancestors, the monkeys, in a place where air conditioning does not exist lolsmiley! OH JESUS IS COMING! PREPARE! PLAN TO BE WITH THE BLESSED HOSTS WHEN THE GREATEST PRAISE FESTIVAL IN THE ENTIRE UNIVERSE AND HEAVEN OCCURS!

Here is an important statement to consider: Bible chapters and verses came into existence 500 years ago. They are not inspired but greatly assist one in finding texts. Sometimes however, they break the continuity of a study. Such is the case at this point! Because John continues describing the Heavenly scene, and there should not have been a break between chapters 4 and 5. But before I go on please know that all scripture is given by inspiration of God (2 Timothy 3:16). Holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost (2 Peter 1:21). So God wrote this book! And every word is from His hand and lips. However the numbers as to how we find these verses was only invented 500 years ago. So sometimes we will break right in the middle of a chapter and it should not have been that way. It should have just continued, and this is the case and point! Having this understanding helps us to understand things more clearly as we move from chapter 4 to 5.

Beloved, brothers and sisters, I don’t want you to be ignorant about those who have died, having placed their full trust and belief in Christ Jesus -- our Lord and Savior. Neither do I want you to grieve like other people who have no hope beyond the grave. For we believe and know that Jesus died and was resurrected. We also believe that through Jesus, God will bring back with Him those [the spirits of the living Saints who are with Him now} who have died and left their decaying bodies here on earth for a future scheduled date of redemption and transformation (2 Corinthians 5:8). You see, this body that decays must be changed into a body that cannot decay. And our mortal bodies must be changed into immortal bodies that will live forever and are compatible with Heaven; for flesh and blood cannot enter the Kingdom (1 Corinthians 15:53). Again, I tell you with the utmost confidence in the never-failing Word of God that they indeed, will come back with Jesus! I am literally teaching you what the Lord Himself taught.

When He comes to rapture the saints from planet Earth, we who are still alive [when the Lord comes] will not go into His kingdom ahead of those who have already died. This is how that glorious day shall occur:

The Lord, Himself, will come down from Heaven with a command, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trumpet call of God. First, the bodies belonging to the dead who have believed on Christ and been redeemed will come back to life and be reunited with their Spirits – which are standing with the Lord in the air. Then, together with them, we who are still alive will also be transformed from mortal to immortal in the twinkling of an eye and caught up with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. In this way we will always be with the Lord. So then, comfort each other with these words for His coming is imminent and the prophetic revelation is trustworthy and consistent with the Living Word of God! 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18

The victor's crown of righteousness is now waiting for me, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give to me on the day that He comes, and not only to me but also to all who eagerly wait for His appearing.
- 2 Timothy 4:8

Like Daniel I resolve in my mind to pray three times a day. While doing so, I invoke the favor, wisdom, direction, anointing and divine provision of the Lord; While in the process of doing these things, I worship and commune with the Lord with songs of thanksgiving and praise. (Daniel 6:10)

Confession of faith: Daily I will meditate on the Word of God (particularly Wisdom Principles from Proverbs) and expand my prosperity consciousness by meditating on success principles that are consistent with the Word of God.

In 1 Samuel 17:1-3, the Israelites are at war with the Philistines. Every day the Philis-tine giant, Goliath, would taunt them, asking, "Why do you come out and line up for battle? Am I not a Philistine, and are you not the servants of Saul? Choose a man and have him come down to me" (1 Samuel 17:8, NIV). But no one had the courage to fight him. David couldn't believe his ears when the Israelites told him what was going on. He replied, "What shall be done to the man that killeth this Philistine, and taketh away the reproach from Israel? for who is this uncircumcised Philistine, that he should defy the armies of the living God?" (verse 26).

When Goliath confronted David, he responded by saying, "You come to me with a sword, a spear, and a javelin, but I come to you in the name of the Lord of hosts…." (verse 45, AMP). David did not allow himself to be governed by doubt and fear. He had complete confidence in God's ability to make him victorious. Rather than focus on the problem at hand, he spoke the solution by declaring the power of God over it.

You can handle obstacles in the same way. By standing up in the face of adversity and declaring the Word of the Lord, you put hell on notice that something wonderful is about to happen. Refuse to be bullied by fear. You have God's power in you; therefore, you are able to overcome any challenge!

Atomic Power of Words

If you have faith and do not doubt, you can SAY to this mountain, be thou removed and cast into the sea and it shall be done (St. Matthew 21:21). These inspiring words spoken by Jesus Christ demonstrate the Prosperity Law of Command. This law is perhaps one of the most important prosperity principles that you will ever learn. When using this law, we immediately discover that it is the master key to dominion. The word command means, “to have authority or control.” Through an attitude of dominion and authority, we are able to possess the good we desire.

The Prosperity Law of Command is nothing new, for we are told in the book of Genesis that Jehovah created the earth by commanding, “Let there be…and there was!” The Bible promises that what you decree you get. Job 22:28 declares, “Thou shalt decree a thing and it shall be established unto thee and light shall shine upon thy ways.” I’ve heard many people say, “What you see is what you get, but I say, “WHAT YOU SAY IS WHAT YOU GET!” We are constantly using this law because we are constantly making decrees. Unfortunately, they are often the wrong decrees. Isaiah 10:1 states, “Woe unto them that decree unrighteous decrees.” Many of our troubles, ill health, financial problems and woes can be directly traced back to our thoughtless remarks, negative confessions, or to what the Bible refers to as, “UNRIGHTEOUS DECREES.” These unrighteous decrees undermine every aspect of prosperity (in every area of our lives – even in the area of health) that we may be trying to bring into manifestation.

Many financial counselors agree that 99% of people with financial and health problems never overcome them until they come to know and use the Prosperity Law of Command. When we daily, consciously, and deliberately begin to assert (through prosperous declarations) the good we desire, our commands call them forth. It is imperative that we fully grasp and believe that we are indeed created in the image of God, and that we also possess the power to create with our words as the Father does. Every earthly father has passed on certain genes, characteristics and attributes to his children, which validates sonship. The Heavenly Father has given us the ability to love, reason, create and command our good to come forth through the power of words. Take pride in knowing that you are a child of God and daily demonstrate this great success power, for it is then that the Father takes pride in seeing His divine imprint manifested in you.

Have you received the Holy Ghost since Ye Believed?

What is the Holy Ghost?

First of all, He (The Holy Ghost) is not an "it". He is the third person of the Trinity - The Father, The Son, and The Holy Ghost. I Corinthians 12:4-6 defines the work of the Divine Trinity as gifts by the Holy Spirit; administrations by Jesus Christ; and operations by GOD the Father.
What does the Holy Ghost do?
Acts 1:8 says, "But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me." The scripture "ye shall be witnesses unto me" is saying that with the power of the Holy Ghost you will be able to live in line with GOD's Word. You will be able to let the love of Jesus Christ show in your life. Because of the Holy Ghost, you will not be ashamed of Jesus Christ re-gardless of where you are or who you are with.
Your life will always be a witness for Jesus Christ. Matthew 10:32-33 says, "If you will not confess me before men, I will not confess you before my Father" It is impossible for you to be an effective witness for Christ without the power of the Holy Ghost.
